Dada Sheb Phalke award is like an invitation from Yamdut. The moment a family learns that the legend of the family is gonna get one the moment they call the mortician.

He is called the early expermentalist👍🏼

I have seen these films produced by him...Junoon,Vijeta,Utsav,Kalyug,36 chowrangee lane..I loved them all..I come from a family of defense officers..loved Vijeta(son Kunal was the sardar hero)

He acted in several english films at the end of his career(beginning too..i have seen The Householder.

He deserves the award👏

Many deserving ones don't get it even after death.

Rajesh Khanna, Sunil Dutt, Balraj Sahni, Nutan, Nargis, Mohammad Rafi, Kishore Kumar...no one got it! Not even posthumously!

Unfair to artistes.

Is it necessary to award only one person every year?

I mean there are sooo many good artists who never get the award at all.

I agree it is prestigious and should not be given to anyone and everyone.

But people should be able to feel the happiness of getting the award and celebrate it.

It is probably one of the most honorary moment of an artist's life to be awarded with Dada Saheb Phalke award.

Great point and couldn't agree more , its like they are waiting for these artists to get old , unable to walk by themselves when they come to receive the award...ridiculous !!
