I can even like a Shiny Ahuja/Roman Polanski/Woody Allen movie. The movie should intrigue me. Sometimes people may think, I'm calling a movie 'bad' because I don't like the actor/actress. Not true. I'm just picky about movies. I won't watch a movie just because it won an Oscar. I won't change the channel because the movie on-air wasn't a critics' favorite, nor did it make money.

I do like Woody Allen movies and often feel guilty about it. I know the art should be separated from the person. However, in some cases it makes you feel icky to like something. It makes me understand why some people cannot separate Salman's films from him.

Not really, I have always loved Salman Khan irrespective of his religion. I used to have a soft corner for Deols since there are not many Sikh actors but Dharamendra and Sunny Deol's off-screen history put me off, Bobby is quite decent but nothing great and their movie YPD 2 was a nail in coffin. I admire Akshay Kumar still but it has mainly to due with his movies and off-screen personality.
But I know what the TM means, I had a friend who used to be crazy for Sunny Deol only because of same religion and caste 😕

Well, I didn't feel guilty watching The Pianist, but I would be lying if I say I don't try avoiding Allen/ Polanski movies.

From my experience , Jatts/Jats are very ethno-centric on an egoist scale..Half of those songs from Punjab alone are nothing but simply bragging of their 'Jattitude' ..

No, but I realized that I do have a bias towards those who are not connected to BW

So I like

Deepika, Anushka more than Sonam & Sonakshi
Akshay more than say Salman
Sushant more than Varun or even Ranbir
Priyanka more than Kareena

It's not an absolute thing. Ranbir is also one of my favorites, and I don't mind Varun or Kareena. Idk if most of them work more harder and it shows on screen or if its just that I can simply relate to them more

Alia is a special case, on one hand she's talented, but then she has a mentor who does half of the work for her 😆
