In the minority here but agree with Russell Peters.
He doesn't seem to like Aamir very much, I believe he said he likes Akshay and SRK as people. I remember seeing this interview with them during Lagaan/DCH days, awkward much.. Aamir had a 'we are not amused' look throughout.

Anyways, it seems like Russell Peters mainly says things to piss people off but this time it affected him directly as his show in India has been postponed (way before Aamir gave his statement on it)

Edit: On a side note, don't think he propagates stereotypes, just exaggerates things, which he's known to admit. And which comic doesn't, Sarah Silverman's material is mostly mined from her Jewish culture. But yeah you can accuse him of monotony as his jokes are a decade old but rehashed (haven't seen his new material).

I get what's he's saying, it's just Russell uses super poor language and has to be confrontational in everything he has to say.


He's just sticking up for the fellow AIB (nobody) comedians who were trying to bring a new genre of comedy.

Aamir's issue is against Karan Johar, Arjun, and Ranveer more than anyone else in AIB I think...but his statement also targeted those other dudes who made the jokes.

Poor language, but Russell's just trying to defend standup roasts as an art form and those comedians.

in all cases, aamir is getting bashed left, right and centre and rightly so for his premature and immature comment.
Premature because he made the comments without watching the video.
Immature because he called it violent and what not.

The rule of the game is you stick for your colleagues in need of time. If you didn't like it you tell them privately, but you don't bash them publicly😆

I kinda agree with this statement...
