I was answering from two perspectives...

First u raised a question...that why would he accept the award...my answer was why not?? His fans voted for him...he won it...so why not??Just because u don't want him to win an award everytime doesn't mean that all his fans out there want the same...they want to make it every single time...

Second was the TM's question...did he buy the award...my answer is ...the most popular superstar of India...doesn't NEED to buy awards...his fans vote for him ...simple logic here...

I think they should change the "Best Actor Popular " to "FAVOURITE Actor Of The Year"

and only a jury should decide who gets "BEST Actor"

but why do I care for this..I don't even watch awards shows..lol

LOL screen popular award is nothing .He is not gonna win FF where only 50 % voting counts.n whas so surprising in srk winning popular award ?check any online poll or any voting s/ms like NDTV TOP25 OR ABP news vyakti vishes ,srk easily wins over other popular actors .

stardust award is shit .srk attended it for the 1st time .stardust ko khushi control nahi hui

What is all the hue and cry about? The popular award doesn't even matter. EVERYONE knows its voted by fans PURELY based on popularity.

During these months, SRK literally wins every online poll for best actor. He is one of the most popular actors in the world. Hell, he has been recognized as "THE MOST POPULAR ACTOR IN THE WORLD" by foreign newspapers and magazines several times. It would be suspect if he did not win it.

The whole buying accusation is old and pretty lame now. I wonder why he ends up buying the less important awards then? And why he tends to not try his hand at Filmfare? Oh, I wonder how the hell he manages to get the most prestigious awards from all these foreign governments.

Until 2010, SRK has deserved all the awards he got, whether people tend to agree or not. After that, he hasn't won any significant awards and HE KNOWS THAT HIMSELF.

This. Also, they really should give the Jury Best Actor award at the end. Giving the Popular one at the end gives it too much undue importance.

I don't understand the obsession with awards, especially when you buy them. Doesn't your conscious go you bought it? So what's the point?

Just read the list of winners on IF. The performances are mundane. The jokes by the hosts are in poor taste and useful for taking potshots under the guise of humour.
