No they do not always buy. Sometimes put condition that they will attend or perform only if they get an award. Sometimes cut a bit of their fees in return for an award.

Sometimes throw a fit and demand one (This is how Katrina got Entertainer award at Screen in 2009).

Many methods are there. 😆

The biggest sham was Farah Khan getting Best director! Hahaha! Dream director for HNY in a year when Raju Hirani gave PK!

I think SRK completely made Farah happy and made final peace for that slap incident. Farah can forget pati ki insult now, as if it never happened at all.
