Basically indicating DP should stop listening to her rivals and just focus on herself for a second? Nail Clipper why are you never to the point?😆 I like this quality about you!

Read somewhere that a person suffering from depression/anxiety was asked to stop watching news... so that she can stay away from negativity. Here DP was following her rivals: What they were saying against her or saying in general. Which I think was worsening her case.

Read this article on the negative effects of news...

Just copy-pasting the header if you're feeling lazy to read the whole thing.

News is bad for you - and giving up reading it will make you happier
News is bad for your health. It leads to fear and aggression, and hinders your creativity and ability to think deeply. The solution? Stop consuming it altogether

Sad that some people can't get over their petty fandom wars or irrational hatred for Deepika to focus on the issue she is talking about.

Mental illnesses are highly prevalent and seriously concerning, if someone like Deepika speaking about it can reduce the stigma, that's a great thing.

i agree with nailclipper abt news consumption
i've read it in a book abt the side-effect of it
getting little bit of it makes one feel the need to know
everything about it slowly it becomes harmful.
and these bollywood stars have so much of news
written about them some good some bad
extremes of all kinds and their job is such they
need to know the feedback be updated and all that.
i dont know if its possible
for them to completely cut off from news
esp bolly news in their profession
but it'll be good for them to keep mind off from anything
that can trigger stress, discomfort, anger or sadness.

Disagree silent reader
How judgemental

Get your facts right

A clinically depressed person can appear completely normal on the outside..it is the inside which he normally hides and what causes the most damage

So yeah you can do all those things but you won't be getting the same pleasure..which only the person suffering knows not us

One of my loved ones has severe clinical depression because he is older and unemployed and does not have money to support himself in old age. He takes medication regularly, and his symptoms are starkly different. They just sleep all the time, very little interaction with people, and rarely any emotion because they can't even make that effort to show emotion. Not go around giving master classes, joking with the director "babe" in the press, fighting with a leading newspaper, attend award functions after function, and most importantly give "success bash" for oneself. Nothing wrong with that, but that does not sound like a clinically depressed person.

There isn't only one set of symptoms for people with depression, so no offence, but you sound completely presumptuous and silly. I've been through depression and I relate to a lot of what she said, especially entaling to putting up a happy front in the face of your parents. I also used to have trouble focusing at Uni and remember a lot of times when I cried myself to sleep.

Depression is a serious issue. But the timing of this article matching the one around Anushka is seriously crappy. Just why did she have to bring it up now? Is she over it or not?
Not to mention the guilt trip she is trying to bring to Ranbir and god forgive if Ranveer ever broke up with her. The amount of nonsense that will come out of that break up. Part of me wishes Ranveer stays away from Deepika but he wont :(
