Post Tevar', I want to calm myself down: Arjun Kapoor

Arjun Kapoor has been on a roll since his first release Ishaqzaade' in 2012. He has featured in numerous movies after that - Aurangzeb', Gunday', 2 States' and Finding Fanny'. Of these, the last three came out last year.
The actor is now looking forward to take a break from his busy schedule. "I have been on a bullet train and have done six films in two years and it is also not healthy for the audience beyond a point," Arjun Kapoor said while promoting his upcoming movie Tevar' in New Delhi on Sunday (January 4).

So, is he going on a sabbatical? "I will not call it a sabbatical but after Tevar' I want to calm myself down so that I can reassess how I would want to approach my work. I have got enough love and appreciation for the work I did last year. I have been constantly working. It is nice to slow down," he replied
Arjun Kapoor had played a similar role for his debut movie Ishaqzaade'. On being asked about the similarities between his characters, Arjun opined, "Parma was a dark character; he could go to any lengths to take revenge even if that meant using a girl to his own advantage. He was brought in a political family and hence, himself wanted to pursue it. Pintoo Shukla, on the other hand, represents today's youth. He lives his life on his own terms and he is positive."
"I have always tried to do different stuff. What I did in Aurangzeb' was completely different from Ishaqzaade'. 2 States' was a completely different film too. I haven't yet signed any movie after Tevar' because I didn't like what was offered to me. I want to do roles which are different," he added.
With Tevar', Arjun Kapoor has teamed up with his father Boney Kapoor and uncle Sanjay Kapoor for the first time, as the duo is producing the movie. The actor said working in a home production isn't any different from working in any other project.
"When an actor goes to the sets, he does not think that he is in his home production or any other film. You just work for the director. Working in Tevar' was an emotional journey. Life has come to a full circle it seems. Our home productions are always larger-than-life and are made on a big scale. Tevar' is also the same."
"Also, YRF and Dharma created a foundation for me, so working in Tevar' became a bit easier."
Does his co-star in the movie Sonakshi Sinha also think the same? When asked about Arjun's behaviour on the sets, pat came Sonakshi's reply, "Arjun took advantage of being in his home production, but then he took care of everybody. So, that makes up for everything."
Seeing the leg-pulling coming his way, Arjun took no time to give it back to Sonakshi. "Oh! You just gave them tomorrow's main headline!" he said.
