The PK and/or 3I sequels are atleast 5-6 years away. Hirani's still working on the script of his film with Ranbir, which probably won't start until late next year at the earliest. Then making and releasing..it will probably be 2016 end-2017 by the time it comes out. Only after that can he work on PK, 3I sequels.

Probably his next is Dangal and after that in the air.

My freind knows someone at excel and he says that talks are still going on b/w Farhan & Aamir. Farhan really wants Aamir to do it and Aamir likis the script as well. The problem is regarding profits from what I could make of it. But it is still very much on. Nothing concrete though.

Regarding Karan's next, going by how Karan is going all gaga over the script and those talks about how he has already cast the father, I think he is. Those two have meeting too much for someone who had a fall out over a movie.

The Farhan film has already been announced with Sid. It's not scrapped...unless Farhan is having second thoughts and is trying to re-convince Aamir, I don't think Aamir is doing it. Karan will probably throw a hissy fit if Farhan dumps Sid. 😆

There were lots of articles a few weeks back that Aamir rejected Karan's film. Karan's too smart to have a fall out with a top actor like Aamir for a film, today. Given that that film won't even happen until 2016, anything can happen.

PK zooms past Dhoom: 3 earnings in one week

Christmas has proved to be a lucky time for Aamir Khan. Last year, he struck gold at the box office with "Dhoom: 3", and this time the superstar's latest offering "PK" has zoomed past the action adventure's first week collections.

While "Dhoom 3" earned Rs.179 crore in one week in India, "PK" collected Rs.182.58 crore in the first week. The film's international gross box office collection is $13.36 million (Rs.85 crore), read a statement.

Trade experts have conjectured the film may even cross Rs.300 crore ultimately.

Rajesh Thadani from Multimedia Combines told IANS: "'PK' has done extremely well. In fact, it's the highest grosser in one week. Yesterday (Thursday) due to Christmas, the collection was outstanding. The film will certainly cross Rs.300 crore easily."

On Christmas day itself, the Rajkumar Hirani directorial collected Rs.27.55 crore in India.

"The film is going steady at the box office and the film has not dropped even on weekdays," Thadani added.

Also featuring Anushka Sharma, Sanjay Dutt and Sushant Singh Rajput, the movie is doing "outstanding business".

Sunil Bansal, a distributor from Rajasthan, told IANS: "The film is doing extremely well in Rajasthan. The shows have been going houseful and this film is the highest grosser of the year in a week. It's doing an outstanding business. It should cross Rs.300 crore."

PK all set for All Time 2nd Weekend - 2nd Week Collections Record

Aamir Khan's PK will break the All Time Highest Second Weekend and 2nd Week Record Box Office Collections Record of Dhoom 3 by a big margin. The movie is targeting 50 cr second weekend and it looks possible looking at the trend the movie is likely to show in this week.

Every film which has scored well in second week be it Dhoom 3, 3 Idiots, Kick, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express, Krrish etc had seen tremendous growth in business on second Saturday and Sunday and PK will follow the suit. The interesting part is that PK might collect 50 cr in the second weekend which unarguably the highest by a long shot and it is greater than the second week collections of all Bollywood movies released till date barring 3 Idiots and Dhoom 3.

PK will also huge upsurge in collections on the coming Wednesday and Thursday due to partial holidays on 31st December and 1st January and it should help the film target around 90 cr second week. If the second Monday drop is similar to first Monday then there is a slight chance (very very slim) of touching 100 cr second week though provided the collections on Wednesday and Thursday are big.

PK is rewriting box office rules in terms of trending of a big film with mind boggling numbers in its second week too. Another interesting thing which remains to be seen is the fact that whether PK can challenge the third week and fourth week records of 3 Idiots as they looked unattainable for any film since 3 Idiots.

Its not announced as of yet from what I have read. All speculation at this point of time.

Like I said, nothing is concrete yet but they are trying their best to get Aamir. Its a huge project and they want a top star. Plus with Aamir these day you are more or less gaurenteed a ATBB.😆😆

If both Farhan and Aamir agree on profits then its sure to go ahead. So lets wait and see.

As for Kjo throwing a fit, doubt Farhan will care to be honest. Kjo too wont give a damn if there is a chance of him working with Aamir in the future.😆😆

PK Does Well On Day 8 (2nd Friday) At The Box Office

PK made fantastic business on Day 8 i. e. 2nd Friday at the Box Office in India. As per early estimates, this Aamir Khan starrer has managed to earn 12-14 crores yesterday, taking its total collections to approx 195 crores nett.

The movie's mouth publicity is extremely positive in mass as well as urban circuits. The occupancy in the evening and late night shows were excellent overall, especially in the metros, which helped the film to collect good moolah. Coming to the Highest Grossers of Bollywood, PK is all set to beat the life time collections of Ek Tha Tiger, 3 idiots and Happy New Year by the completion of Day 9.

Of course, the movie will definitely break more records in the coming days. Watch this space for more!
