Exactly seven years back, we got these three newcomers.Deepi opposite SRK in OSO and Ranbir and Sonam in Saawariya.
All three were said to be next big thing.And now, Ranbir is most promising and successful young star, Deepika is top bollywood actress and Sonam has created a place being the most fashionable star with not much to say about her bollywood movies.
So who according to you is in best position in industry right now?

All three have done very well for themselves! Deepika has established herself with a great improvement in acting & BO success. The last couple of years have been a game changer for her. Sonam has carved a niche for herself with offbeat interesting movies & is slowly improving. She is clearly trying to be known more as a actress & not just a style icon which is good for her.

But clearly Ranbir is miles apart from the rest! His acting skills was a given from his first movie & he is also a bankable star. I wish he continues to focus on great scripts than just BO success which will set him apart from the rest of the superstars! So for me it's Ranbir followed by DP & Sonam.

Now deepika... But long run it will be ranbir, since actresses have limited time compared to actors.

Ranbir and Deepika, individually as stars atm are way ahead of the rest who entered around the same time. (Imran, Sonam, Asin, Anushka, Farhan and rest).
