The plot was like an Ekta Kapoor serial with all those memory loss stuff 😆

Contrary to this, i think its ARR's worst in recent times 😆 So much so that ARR cribbed about it & was trying to give excuses for the first time ever in his career..Cos thats the only time i have seen him try to justify himself or his work 😆

Pretty sure I overlooked EVERYTHING because I liked how SRK looked...as shallow as that sounds.

the story, below average performances, direction, screenplay, EDITING, even the songs were pretty average. imo veer zaraa much better.

No it's not just her fault...it was an all-around mess for sure and I guarantee SRK nor Katrina would have ever agreed to do the film if not for the names involved..and I am positive SRK knew it is not good.

Yash Chopra and Aditya overestimated Kat's acting capabilities. The story did require someone who could make people feel something for the main female lead...for their love story. Kat is very limited...she is only capable of so much. She was really uncomfortable throughout the film and it showed. She couldn't relate to anything and clearly the directors didn't make an effort to put her at ease.

To me the editing/acting/direction were THE biggest faults. BW has only a handful of good stories and Adi C anyways isn't a good writer..it was bound to be a mess...but story you can put up with if it wasn't so damn long. The story is inspired by a Graham Greene novel from the 50's. 😆 Obviously in 2012, people are going to be like W*F...so then direction/actors should rise above it.

VZ is a masterpiece compared to this.

I even liked Ra1 better than JTHJ ...it was more engaging/interesting..though SRK was much better in JTHJ 😆

I think they were overconfident..You know all the hype about it being Yash Chopra's last film, SRK doing a full fledged romantic film after ages, music by ARR etc. etc. - they assumed it'l do well anyway 😆 And am pretty sure SRK did the film only for Yash Chopra..Not like he has a great script sense otherwise but he probably knew this was a bad film 😆 I still think better acting, chemistry & music could have saved the film..The biggest issue here was the obvious lack of chemistry..And those awkward liplocks..You could almost sense the discomfort 😆 And the album was a disaster..Saans is officially the most annoying song in recent years 😵😆

Yeah, I know...me too. My favorite were always Challa and Heer and I hated Saans...but I realized that Saans was actually decent when I saw it on some TV couple. 😕 😆 It sounded/seemed better. That was my point..

For sure.

He knows if it will work well or not...you can tell from his excitement level. He definitely knew its a bad film but yes, he probably did think that it would sail through with all the hype. Anyways, besides being Yash Chopra's last...I don't think SRK cared/cares about it.

Acting and chemistry I agree. Music...only for making more money. Better editing, direction, casting = less brickbats.

Yep. JTHJ was actually unintentional comedy for me, esp when Katrina cried or SRK-Kat tried to hump each other.😆😆
