Great! Atleast makes up for the discrimination that women have to face when we go for movies. I hope actresses become uglier by the day.

But how many of these 80s and 90s heroines have we seen without makeup?
What I have read so far seems to indicate that nowadays heroines look good only with makeup...
I am sure it is the same case with the heroines from 80s and 90s... It's just tht they were careful not to be in the public eye without makeup...

I agree, those faces until 90s were really like diva faces.. They were like prettier than many we see everyday. But now, seeing the likes of Shradda, Alia, Parineeti etc, I feel my close friend without makeup would win over them with make-up anyday. There are people who have a better body + a prettier faces, whom we see in our daily lives. One couldnt imagine to see Namrata/Sonali/Sush/Aish/Isha Koppikar/Rekha/Tabu/Divya Bharati...or even Mahima Chowdary or Deepti Bhatnagar .. in daily life. They had their own uniquely pretty faces.
But it's also a good thing.. they all look fine - cute, and what should matter is their acting(which most lack in again) 😆 I like Sonam, Vaani, Yami and Sonakshi's faces...but they arent very striking either, plus, IDK they lack that some sort of overall 'feminity' which older ones had..
I do miss going "oh my god how pretty" while seeing Sonali or Aishwarya etc on screen..

Agree..Today's actresses dont have that charm n grace..They need loads of help to look good on-screen.
From the current lot Sonam is really beautiful, fits well in both indian & western roles. Shraddha is gorgeous and Huma Qureshi also has lovely features...she reminds me of Madhuri sometimes.

Also I think every actress according to their era is gorgeous and truly , beauty is in the eyes of the beholder , cause in India people make Ash a huge deal and her beauty is sort of a global phenomenon , however in the United States I remember when my white friends saw Deepika on screen and Frieda Pinto on screen for the first time they were literally star struck by how pretty they were, especially Deepika. Also , Bips is considered really really beautiful here though in India the conservative standards of beauty have always undermined her appearance compared to other actresses. I remember my friend Veniesa told me that the entire theatre in Chicago , that included all sorts of races were hooing haaing and whistling everytime Frieda came on screen because of how gorgeous she was. In fact the funny part is , other countries other than India do not find Kareena Kapoor good looking at all...sirf fair skin aur unnatural light eyes se koi beautiful yaa attractive nahi ho jaata like it is in our country, conveniently. In our country it is almost like no matter how small the eyes , big the nose , weird the jawline, as long as you have light skin you are automatically accepted. It is just so hypocritical and convenient. I am from kolkata , hell , I personally have never been considered attractive in my surroundings that included school and my home , but funnily the minute I got to US , I am considered this really good looking girl which is kind of a cultural shock for me , for the reason I am saying that the standards and views of beauty are so diverse and different all over the world , I don't know how can we pick and choose and label someone attractive.

On topic: I don't think 80s and 90s heroines were prettier than todays girls. Yami Gautam is as beautiful as Madhuri. Shraddha is 10X prettier than Mandakini..

I find most pretty.

Shilpa shetty back then didn't look that great. Star kids like Sonakshi and alia are prettier than her.

If they are average looking then it's good. They look like me and give me no complex at all😎
