Director Soojit Sircar has managed interesting casting for his forthcoming film "Piku." The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan in lead roles.

What is even more interesting is that the slice-of-life film will depict a crazy father-daughter relationship, essayed by Bachchan and Deepika. The story is a quirky roller coaster ride of their characters, with Irrfan in a pivotal role.

Deepika Padukone, who plays the title role, says that she is nervous and excited about the film as it is different from what she has done before. "It's a huge honor for me to be working with such stalwarts on "Piku." I am extremely nervous, but also very excited as "Piku" is the kind of cinema I believe in. Every day I walk onto the set with butterflies in my stomach! I hope I do justice to "Piku" and bring her alive onscreen in a way that audiences fall in love with her," she says.

The second schedule of "Piku" starts in November, and the film is slated to release
