What's surprising in that ? 😲 I speak more English than my native language. Only time I use Gujarati is when I converse with parents. So only 5% would be native, rest all English. Imagine conversing in native language while I am working here in the west...😆

And that is just my case. Many Gujju folks born and brought up here don't even speak Gujju at all. For them English is their first language.

Nothing wrong.👍🏼..Just an observation...Do u remember that thread about Kat not being able to speak in Hindi...it is in that context...when the Indians themselves are more comfortable speaking in English...why do they want poor Kat to speak in Hindi all the time😆...don't u find it hypocritical??khud to English bolenge...lekin agle se expect karenge ki Hindi bolo...arre Bhai Kat spaeks her dialogues in hindi...fir kya problem hai...anyways I will use this thread as a reference for future😆😆

Hmmm, not really which thread, but yes I have seen people mock her for her lack of communicating in Hindi 😆 But mehhh, that's what people do, it's all in fun, hypocritical or not 😆

That's why I don't really bother defending or debating, cuz end of the day we are going to bash these celebs depending on our likes and dislikes. So let others have fun mocking and bashing, it's just fun 😆 "Fun" is blind, deaf and dumb 😆

Anil Kapoor.. I dont it was Kjo's show or Anupama's... but clearly told hez not comfortable with English like Srk or Amitabh.

First language is not abt the most comfortable language U r with.. its when u started talking as a baby.. mother tongue.

What else will they speak? Its a common language which binds together all the urban youth in India. Maybe ppl in North can all speak Hindi but when it comes to south India or Mumbai or a more cosmopolitan city,not all know the state language and there are 101 languages that Indians speak. If I have to converse with a person of Bengali or Telugu or Tamil descent I would opt for English cos not everyone knows Hindi. In my close friends group, one was Marwari,one from Patna and one Kannadiga so obv we spoke in English but with the Kannadiga friend I spoke in Kannada. With family ofcourse its native language but how much time do we really spend with family these days. Its usually spent at college or work.

Why is it expected of all Indians to talk in Hindi? We have our regional languages. Katrina is sometimes expected to talk in Hindi cos she has been doing Hindi movies for so long. No one expects her to speak in Telugu cos she did one movie in Telugu. When she is asked a question in Hindi, the least she can do is reply back in Hindi. And not call dal , yellow sauce and so on.
