So? A lot of my asian friends put down English as their first language in forms and stuff. What's so bad about it?

Even I rarely declare that i speak another language at home, when i have to fill in forms. Because it's annoying and i actually have to write Findi.

It doesn't matter. It still doesn't mean they should have to Indulge you and your language preference. if they can get along with their English amongst the population, there's no reason why they should give you any other preference.

This is the issue with Indians.

If you speak English, they have a problem. If you speak English with an accent, its a bigger problem. Yet, they can't seem to understand that accents are completely natural because we grew up pronouncing words differently. I don't like the Indian accent at all, but I know for sure that we can improve on pronouncing our words correctly. People who claim to know Hindi seem to also can't pronounce hindi words correctly. In all, I think Indians get too sensitive of any issue. I got a warning because I mentioned how silly (insert a country here). I know this a whole different issue but people need to learn to accept constructive criticism on India.

Lol that the only thing I remember from the things I studied or else we do use lot of similar words in Hindi. Other than that we all know Gayatri mantra or Suprabhata or Sarva Mangala Mangalye etc.
