The superstar has no interest in politics – national, professional or personal.
He is not a politician in the making. He's just happy singing, dancing and yes acting.
"Why is it that every time I show my films to Sonia Gandhi and her family, people think that I'm entering politics? Why doesn't it occur to people that they may be entering Bolllywood?" Shah Rukh quips.
Shah Rukh is just an entertainer!
He always entertains whether as the grey Dev in 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' or as a dancer at private parties.
"Entertainment is my job. I've no qualms dancing at wedding, on the streets or on a stage," said Shah Rukh.
Accused of being too much commercial!
If you can pay him, he will do the "Chhaiya Chhaiya" for you.
"Since I'm not the highest paid star in the country, why shouldn't I make money using my star status?"
"How many people can dance at marriage party and get paid for it?"
Sometimes he charges nothing for a good cause.
"M.F. Husain once told me that he and I have corrupted art and films by being too commercial," Shah Rukh recovered from his memory.
But not many know sometimes he performs free also.
"For charity, I will do it for free," assures Shah Rukh.
I'm the face of Indian movies"!
According to Shah Rukh the population explosion in India has a positive side.
"There is a positive side of the population explosion in our country. Every fourth face is Indian and by default, every fourth face in the world recognizes me because I'm the face of Indian movies," said Shah Rukh.
"SRK is too ordinary to be a superstar"!
According to filmmaker Karan Johar, Shah Rukh is so uncomfortable in a typical 'society' atmosphere.
"At the end of the day, Shah Rukh and Gauri are normal, middle-class Delhiites. In personal life, Shah Rukh lives a very ordinary life."
"He is a guy who spends four hours in the loo"!
Friend Karan Johar said in a recent interview, "He is a guy who spends four hours in the loo. Can you imagine that the biggest star in India takes all his important decision, sitting on the pot?"
"Considering the kind of films that Indian filmmakers make, I think that's really the best place to read the scripts," quipped Shah Rukh.
The superstar needs moments of solitude.
"I need moments of solitude when I'm at home and it is not really possible with kids running around in the house. What I really do is keep the seat down, sit on it and read a book."
He has thought of taking lessons from Abhishek.
Shah Rukh finds rumour of his supposed rivalry with the Bachchan amusing.
"I'm not competing. In fact, I am learning to maintain stubble and I thought of taking lessons from Abhishek. When I say I don't want any politics, I mean all kinds of politics – personal and professional," said Shah Rukh.
