I'm starting to wonder if Sid got EV because of KJo too it really seems like he's pimping Alia/Sid/Varun out to the max! I mean I like them all now - but he's actually ruining their careers in my opinion by constantly making movies for them!

Ranveer and Arjun have a much more interesting line up... And even someone like Shraddha has better movies than Alia coming up like Milan Talkies... Which seems like an interesting movie unlike Alia whose just working with Kjo. Alia is so much better than that but I don't think anyone wants to work with her except Kjo!

My theory: After that crapfest SOTY nobody wanted to produce a film for Sid-Alia-Varun or even direct them due to their lackluster performances. This is why none of the "students" had a release in 2013. After a couple of months, Karan decided he would produce most of their films and asked his friend Ekta to produce two films for Varun and Sid. Ekta, who herself was also going through a rough period at that time box-office obliged since other actors weren't willing to work with her. Honestly speaking I have nothing against KJo for producing most of Sid-Alia-Varun's films mainly because he was the one that screwed them by launching them in a film like SOTY.

Getting work is important whether the movie is good or bad. All the major actors today have survived because of it. And I'm glad that Sid has KJo to support him.

Bhavesh Joshi is co-produced by Dharma

Ekta & Karan JOhar are best friends and probably why SId got Ek Villain/

Ekta signed Varun & David together before SOTY release.

Alia & Varun are getting films outside Dharma. Varun has Mohit Suri's next, Sriram Raghvan's next, ABCD 2 (UTV), Rohit Shetty's next, Mani Ratnam's next, Highway, Shandaar...

Sid will forever backed up by Kjo

Considering Karan's existing affiliations with Phantom/Ekta, you're kidding yourself if you think Sid got Bhavesh Joshi/EV on his own merit.

In fact, it's hard to take him seriously when every single film he's done and is doing can be traced back to his sugar daddy. Heaven forbid they ever fall out/break up. Sid will be screwed then.
