Three years ago, on this very day, Salman Khan's 'Bodyguard' had stormed theatres with an earth shattering opening. Three years might have passed and Salman might have done a lot of films in between, but 'Bodyguard' is still memorable, for various reasons.
Now that the film completes three years, we give 5 reasons why 'Bodyguard' is still loved by the audience
Salman Khan:
When you have a certain Salman Khan pulling the reins, you certainly cannot have a bigger reason to watch a film. Salman's films have the typical formulaic Bollywood masala ingredients- some great action sequences, some brilliant songs, Salman Khan's chiseled body, a larger than life character and obviously a beautiful heroine. 'Bodyguard' was all that and even more. But like the West have their own share of superheroes- be it the Batman or the Superman, India has found its superhero in Sal-man!
Chemistry with Kareena Kapoor:
Certainly, Kareena looks the hottest when paired with Salman. No matter how their films fare, the duo sizzle on screen. And in 'Bodyguard', they seem to have set the screens ablaze with their spectacular camaraderie.
The Action:
When you have a Salman Khan, you are sure to witness some great action maneuvers. 'Bodyguard' was no different. Raising the bar and creating a standard for Bollywoodised action, the climax scene between Salman and the anti-hero was breathtaking.
Salman Khan's body:
That has to be there, yaar! When it's a Salman film, you definitely wait for 'THE' moment- when you get see Salman flaunting his chiseled body. There has to be a scene where Salman's shirts just get ripped off in his films, bringing out his muscled body for show and 'Bodyguard' too kept us anticipating the moment until it actually came!
Karisma Kapoor's voiceover:
Well, we understand its a little too hard to believe that suddenly Kareena Kapoor becomes Karisma Kapoor over the phone but then getting to hear Lolo in a film after years, made up for everything!
