Rohit Shetty recently met Ranbir Kapoor over a cup of coffee. The two were spotted at the cafe of a five star hotel, and apparently chatted for nearly an hour, leading to speculations that Ranbir might be roped in for Ram Lakhan remake.

Ever since the news of Karan Johar buying the remake rights of Subhash Ghai's Ram Lakhan spread like wildfire, tinsel town is abuzz with rumours about who would be cast in the title roles of Ram and Lakhan -- the two brothers.

The recent meeting between Rohit Shetty, who will direct the remake, and Ranbir Kapoor has just added fuel to the fire. It's being said that Ranbir might play the younger brother Lakhan, essayed by Anil Kapoor.

Though Rohit Shetty has confirmed that he would be directing the remake of Ram Lakhan, he is tightlipped about the cast. "There have been such big ads in the papers announcing it. So why would I deny it. Yes, I am doing the remake of Ram Lakhan but it will only happen two years later. Before that I will be directing another film," says the director who's presently relishing the success of Singham Returns.

Meanwhile, names of actors like Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh have been doing the rounds for the project. The online media strongly wants Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh to reprise the roles made popular by Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor respectively in the 1989 movie.

ranbir as lakhan ... don't do it bro.. another besharam in making...he would be good as ram though... KJO will ruin this guy, first his KWK show ruining his image and now this..

I didnt want Biru either.Lakhan role is tailor made for Ranveer.They can choose Akki as Ram.

What the fcuk is wrong with Ranbir? Please let Ranveer & Arjun do this..Stay away from Karan Ranbir Ram or Lakhan, please don do this film
