Ajay very much deserves credit. It was he who gave Rohit a break. He used to be the only known star in Rohit Shetty films. It is not like Shetty was always a success and Ajay just hopped on.

And Singham is one man show. No multi starrer or ensemble cast.

This is very much an actor-director team success.

Rohit has egde over this combo thing, Ajay's biggest Grosser 108 Cr is Rohit's flm, Rohit just gave back a 200+ Cr film, al though Ajay gave SOS 100 cr film without Rohit, but it ain't his biggest. So Rohit has stronger role in giving Ajay his career's biggest hits, all from him.

I've been saying forever that Rohit Shetty is the second biggest brand in India after Salman and after this might be first. But all people want to talk about it SRK & Dpad in CE and AD now.

AD couldn't even get a 15 cr Opening by himself. His films like Rascals and Tezz and dil to bacha hai ji got sub 5 cr openings.

This is all Rohit Shetty people. Best believe it.

Agree to some bit as Rohit has bigger share in Ajay's success, but this is also true as Rohit still has to prove himself by working with Non-Big Stars or even new comers.

Ask Rohit to give 10+ Cr opening working with New Star other than Ajay or Biggies like Srk, i would say ask him 2 give this kind of opening with new stars?

Ajay has given 100+ Cr working in Non-Rohit film with SOS... If Rohit can churn BB from any star, new or old, then he is a brand.

I believe Raju Hirani has an edge as a brand. He gave hit and blockbuster Munnabhai MBBS and LRM with an ageing and nearly finished, out of shape Sanjay Dutt. The fact that LRM made more than many major hits of that year shows his mettle.

Content wise also he is way ahead.

Rohit hasn't given hits with newbies or oblivion/ageing/semi retired actors.

Bas Imdb pe jaake record dekh le.

Last 10 years Ajay has had 2 Non- Shetty Hits. OUATIM & SOS + A supporting role in Rajneeti. And 30 some flops. If Shetty wasn't there Ajay would've been done by now.

There's really no argument here. Ajay isn't much of a star without Shetty.

his last releases

himmatwala was around 10-11 and satyagarh even less

with RS he has given some mind blowing openings

I think sequel coming on Big Holiday with Same day theme help a lot... Both LRMB / SR were very much in sync with those big holidays they have arrived, LRMB on Oct 2, Gandhi B'day, Huge reference in film as well... now on Independence day SR, perfect time 2 release.

While if u see Sequels landing on Non-Holiday working friday, they aren't big. Even Golmaal series came in festivals were huge.
