business has grown over the years so 20cr plus on national holiday not a big deal anymore

singham is a brand so is ROhit shetty and ajay devgan is also popular so 20cr plus to banta hai

saying that matching Kick's opening day will be a great achievement i think it will come around 23cr(BOI)

We can't compare musical romantic movie with SR

i am comparing two movies.. box office pull of romantic movies on day 1 is and was less previously when compared to massy one's.. since romatic movies ke audience would try to avoid the day 1 ka halla gulla.. lekin business has grown which is why ek villain has 18c ka day 1.. taking that into mind massy movie like singham should make 23+

Considering it's Rohit Shetty + Singham franchise, 25 crore on a national holiday is kinda low tbh. It should be touching 30 crores.

Although, I wouldn't call it low for an Ajay Devgan starrer, but Singham was immensely successful at the BO. This being a sequel and the all-pervading Rohit Shetty factor, you'd expect more than 25 crores on a national holiday. For Ajay, it's historic of course.

The D day is Sunday. It's Janmashtami and if Singham Returns is as appreciated as the prequel was, we could be in for a historic Sunday.

The opening of SR also gives us a perspective into the business HNY and PK will do. If HNY comes on the day after Diwali, it's going to do 40+ crore business on day 1 itself. That's just massive. The same for PK. If it comes on a holiday, 47-48 crores 1st day is very much on the cards.

Nvm, SR will dominate the screens for two weeks. Maradaani and RN won't be that much of a spoiler, so if it can manage a good WOM, it might touch YJHD/Krrish 3 lifetime business.
