Singham Returns may well emerge with the biggest opening day of the year beating the figures of Kick. In Mumbai it was always likely to be ahead of Kick as its a national holiday and the first Singham had huge appreciation in the circuit but North India is also putting up huge figures on the opening day which are similar to Kick.
The holiday affect is also there for Singham as films that open well normally drop a little in the later shows at multiplexes with higher ticket rates but as its a holiday that is not the case with Singham Returns.
Kick had collected a little over 25 crore nett on its opening day and Singham Returns has a chance of beating if it continues at this pace in the evning and night shows. It must be noted that Kick released pre Eid while Singham Returns has been released on one of the biggest days for box office collections .
