If Salman's films worked purely on his star power then Jai Ho would've achieved similar box office results as other films, but it didn't.

Jai Ho had most of the ingredients of a bakwas Salman film but there were obviously a few items missing, star power took it to an extent and then it went kaput. 😆

JTHJ was last film of yash raj...yash raj was not small director ...plus yashraj films plus katrina...usmein itne plus the 😆..plus srk who rules in dollars means overseas...and in jai ho it was only salman as plus and rest was team of flop stars😆😆😆...thats called star power...akela 126 cr le kar gaya...

@MPK - Nope like I have argued before here, for a movie to be successful there are loads of factors. They may differ from actor to actor.

Yet this star power failed to achieve the sort of success that his recent films have achieved, you see.. I don't know how this became SRK vs Salman 😆, the question which I'm asking is that if fans are attributing Kick's success solely to Salman's star power, then why couldn't it save Jai Ho? 😆... I mean it's quite obvious why.

I can see Salman's stardom. I don't know you are having trouble.

lol... let me make this clearer, I am not denying Salman's stardom, sure he's a big star at the moment, even though he'll be the last one to break 200cr.. but the thing is, star power only takes you up to a certain point, like it did with Jai Ho, after that there are several other factors involved to propel a movie to success.

Kick was promoted better. It also looked visually appealing and the songs were massive hits. Even I went into the theatre to watch Kick and I'm not a Salman fan at all

Jai Ho looked dull, and it had a weird tint to it that made it look kinda bgrade! I haven't even seen the film nor do I want to! But still Jai Ho still earned decently, I mean until Kick it was still the highest grossing film of the year. That in itself says a lot

I think it's because majority liked Kick better than Jai Ho. And Kick has amazing songs.

Kick had the entertainment element ... I havent seen Jai Ho, so no comments on that there...
