I was replying to that, that maybe the best way to go about it would have been to choose someone who has talent and popularity both. They would obviously not go with the lesser known but extremely talented actresses just like Naseer, Om Puri etc have never been chosen, that is understandable, but Vidya PC etc would have been better choices as they have a fair share of talent and popularity both and would have been thus more apt. For any award/honour, balancing the parameters is the best way so that they can maintain some credibility, be well known and yet be an honour people look up to.

Why did Amir decline his? Didn't want to stand next to. Srk? 😆

Yes that makes sense..but they did choose Amitabh and Kareena..for me both have good mix of popularity and talent. Amitabh is still popular among the young ppl even though he is a yesterday actor. Am pretty sure PC will be next. Yeah exactly! Amitabh, Bebo, SRK, Hritik, even Aish- they were balanced choices. That are the kind of personalities I was speaking about- talented as well as popular.

I never said PC or vidya don't deserve to be there...just to clarify for everyone..I just don't want to bash Katrina because I can see why she's there. I don't see the point of hating on her..for one like many mentioned it's like she got an Oscar. No no I got your point earlier itself.. I know you agreed with me on the Vidya thing too, even I understand why Kat was chosen, she is probably more popular than all of them... was just trying to discuss on the talent vs popularity posts I've seen on the thread.
