As far as I know, the official title is 'Legion of France' which is the country's highest civilian honor. Not sure how the TM came up with that title.

It's the highest distinction given out by France, has been established by Napoleon himself. (Chevalier means Knight in French.) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legion_of_Honour
