I would like to do period films & work with Ashutosh G -Sonakshi

There have been multiple changes to the cast of Karan Johar's Shuddhi and even now, no one has signed on the dotted line. After Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor walked out of the film, several top actors in the industry have been vying for the project.

Among the current favourites, Deepika Padukone's name has been tossed around frequently. Several industry insiders even believe that she is one of the top contenders for the project.

However, neither Karan nor anyone from his team has confirmed anything.

On Wednesday evening, at an event, when she was quizzed about the matter, Deepika confessed that she would really want to be a part of Shuddhi and is only waiting for Karan to ask her. "I'd do the film. If I like the script and if Karan makes me an offer I will take it up," she said.
