Raees Races to Completion

We hear that the SRK starrer co starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui is currently racing towards completion. The film is being shot very quickly & with longer schedules because the makers want to complete most of it before the Mumbai monsoons set in.

With a lavish set put up in the open air grounds of Mumbai's film city, an early monsoon could throw the film off schedule.

Raess is also supposed to have shades of RGV's Satya in it's plot.

Shah Rukh Khan completes first schedule of 'Raees'

The actor tweeted after completing the first schedule of the Rahul Dholakia film..

Shah Rukh Khan is undoubtedly one of the busiest actors in Bollywood today. Why? Because the Happy New Yearactor has three big banner films on his plate currently. Apart from Maneesh Sharma's Fan and Rohit Shetty's Dilwale, King Khan also has Rahul Dholakia's directorial venture Raees which finally went on floors in April this year. And guess what, SRK has almost wrapped up the first schedule of Dholakia's film which also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan in the lead. But do we know, you ask? Well, the Raees director himself gave out this information on Twitter.

Dholakia wrote on the popular social networking site, "Would like to thank the 4 punters' for their dedication in #raees whose schedule wrapped today- Farid, Kundan, Sunil and Ashu. Vanity Flair." He further tweeted, "Feels like the last day of exams at school. Crew sings in between set up's as #raees first schedule almost comes to an end."

Now that the makers have wrapped up the first schedule of Raees, they must be thrilled. After all, this project was announced two years back however it the film didn't roll till this year because of Shah Rukh's choc-a-bloc schedule.

Produced by Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Gauri Khan, Raees starring Shah Rukh, Nawazuddin and Mahira Khan is slated to release next year during Eid!

Mahira Khan to join Shah Rukh Khan for 'Raees' post monsoons

Will join Shah Rukh Khan on Raees, August onwards

Pakistani actress Mahira Khan is all set to be a part of the second schedule of Rahul Dholakia's Raees, come August.

Mahira, best known for her show Humsafar (which aired on Zindagi), will join Shah Rukh Khan on the sets in the face of uncertainty, given the escalated border disputes between India and Pakistan.

Says a source close to the project, "Yes, concerns were expressed by the film's producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani about Mahira being present in Mumbai when required." The actress's visa issues are all sorted now. Apparently, Farhan's and SRK's names being associated with the project helped get her the necessary permissions, post-monsoon.

Says the source. "Mahira has already interacted briefly with Shah Rukh who instantly put her at ease when he spoke to her. She is a huge SRK fan. She can't wait to start shooting with him."
