A stupid movie of Salman Jai Ho made a 100 cr...

A bad movie of Shahrukh RA-one made a 100 cr..

An unconventional movie of Aamir Talaash made 90 crores...

Could Ranbir have made these movies earn this much...I don't think so...on the other hand...any of the 3 Khans would have made BESHARAM cross a 100 crores just with their star power..

I think its unfair to Ranbir to say he is competing against the Khans...He might be a good actor...but his starpower is nowhere near Khans and it does not have to be...He will take his time and I am sure that he will reach where the Khans are today...but the Khans took 20+ years to achieve their position...let us give Ranbir and the other youngsters time...and not put undue pressure on them...😛

An unconventional movie of Ranbir's made a 100 in the same year (Barfi). You should have used a terrible film of Aamir's made 250+ (Dhoom 3). 😆

Anyways, Salman himself gave an interview talking about how Ranbir is doing very well and he is competition which is a compliment for Ranbir only. SRK considers everyone competition and so does Aamir. That's what I was referring too, not that Ranbir's at the same level.

@ red...Some movies don't become a hit because of the actors working in them...Ranbir didn't make Barfi earn a 100 cr...But Barfi made Ranbir a star...Barfi worked because of a combination of different reasons...Ranbir had hardly any star pull till then...Barfi established him...so its useless to even compare Barfi with Talaash..

@blue...First of all D3 is not a bad movie...I enjoyed it and so did a lot of people...250 crores aise he nahi bane😆...secondly D3 making 250 crores was possible because of Aamir and Kat's starpower and also because of the Dhoom franchise...

Salman and Shahrukh and Aamir say a lot of things which should not be taken at face value...saying that Ranbir is a competition ...is one such statement which needs to be taken with a pinch of salt😆

They are competing with themselves. They are biggest superstars of the country so they can't manage to disappoint their audience.

Shahrukh did disappoint his audience with jab tak hai jaan, Salman disappoint his audience with Jai Ho, and Aamir with taalash. But still these movies made 100 plus that itself shows that their starpower is unmatchable. Just like @BI said if you out Salman or Shahrukh or Aamir in Besharam that movie would had made a lot of money. It would had at least been a clean hit. I remember how people were saying RK is a superstar and is par with khans post YJHD but after Besharam I don't think some people will say that now.

So khans are competing with themselves the most. And they did learn their lesson esp salman Shahrukh. I think they realized that now they have to be dead serious about their work and can't manage to disappoint and that's the reason why Salman chose, Kick, PRDP, Kabir next, Shuddhi, shimit Amin next ect and Shahrukh chose HNY Raees Fan ect.

But why should it be taken with a pinch of salt? 😆

YJHD made chutti of every Salman film except ETT. SRK's toh were left even more behind until Chennai Express...and I am talking about the final collections here. 😆 So them thinking Ranbir can be competition isn't exactly that unimaginable. 😕 Yeah Besharam sucked and crashed badly but it doesn't mean Ranbir's not a worthy competitor. 😆

I agree !!

The movies that scored with the lad had good music, a known heroine, promotions on them coming together etc...but he cant make a movie that have below par cast , a heroine who was dissed , trailer not well received, music was ok,..etc..work !! And look how he moved his movie once PK decided to take the date, were he a threat why did aamir make that move? Because he knows his product and work better !!

Also ranveer in his group is giving competition to him!! And other youngsters getting buzz..these guys here 20 plus years and proven there mettle..we talk in twenty years on the new gen!!

YJHD was a good movie...CE , ETT and D3 were all BAD movies(according to u not me😆) So Ranbir couldn't even surpass the bad Khan movies...but on a serious note ...the day ranbir will make movies like Besharm a hit...he will be comparable to the Khans...and he will do it but that will take time...15 years back...if the Khans did BESHARAM...it would have met the same fate as it did now...lets give him time...The Khans took their own sweet time to reach the top...why shouldn't Ranbir get the same luxury?😆

I agree with this.. I am not going to say that some of the khans specially salman khan and srks recent movies are worse than besharm.. but they are as bad as besharm.. I mean jthj was soo bad.. I had a hard time finishing that movie.. so was bodyguard, Ra.one and Ready.. but they turned out huge hits.. Ranbir couldn't even get besharm a hit. I was just saying that Ranbir has come very close to the Khans.. But he still has a long way to go.

I don't think Talaash disappointed the fans.. it was just a different movie for a different time..

It was masala year..so masala movies were very popular that year.. if son of sarder pulled a hit .. that means people were seriously in to that kind of movies rather than a great movie...Talaash was very unconventional movie and people didn't watch it... those people who watched actually liked it.. it is very rare to see anyone saying anything bad about the movie...

This is amazing.. I was just looking at the top 10 highest grossing indian movies.. and khans have dominated.. they keep making their own records and breaking it.. so defiantly, the khans are in their own league competing with each other..

they are a team because they all are at the top right now... they are a team because one's bad work is being hidden by the oder's good work ...until and unless any oder actors topples all the three at the same time they will rule as THE 3 KHANS irrespective of anyone's bad work among them..thts where dey are a team and dey had been a team since late 90's and still aamir and salman were always at top inspite of some rough patches in their career...THE 3 KHAN tag worked a s a team there..i hope u guys are getting me what m trying to say...😳

else they are not a team when working for any films or so... and dey had rivalry between them for sure.. but very less because everyone has established deir position .. they are trying to achive more outside BW now...SRK has already ben doing this since long...he has a huge BUISINESS in terms of IPL, production houses and what not...salman is A HUMANITARIAN , he has large BEING HUMAN brand and recently he is turning into an enterpreuner... but AAMIr is also a producer... so i guess rivalry is dere between dem wehn it comes to film but they are more engaged in all oder works in deir life..the 3 of them have made deir own niche ..now dey need to make films to save deir own grace...
