Ashutosh Gowariker's Mohenjo Daro to have a run-time of 150 minutes

Ashutosh Gowariker's Mohenjo Daro whose shoot schedule kick started almost two years ago, will be hitting the silverscreen this year. This period love story stars Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde in the lead and now we hear that it will be one of Ashutosh's shortest films.

Ashutosh Gowariker is known for making grand films with generally a run time of 180 minutes and sometimes it may have stretched a little longer. However, it seems that Mohenjo Daro though is said to be an epic, it wouldn't be too long with a runtime of only 150 minutes. Set in the backdrop of Indus Valley civilization, while the film is essentially a love story, it will also have elements of a revenge saga.

Shot at locations in Bhuj, Mohenjo Daro also stars Kabir Bedi, Arunodhay Singh among others and is slated to release on August 12.

Statement By Ashutosh Gowariker's Spokesperson

This is a clarification in regards to recent media reports that Ashutosh Gowariker has been spoken to by another production house about the release date of his upcoming film, Mohenjo Daro. As the spokesperson of Ashutosh Gowariker Productions, I would like to clarify that he has not been spoken to and that there is no change in the release date of Mohenjo Daro. As officially announced more than a year ago, on January 15, 2015, the film will release on August 12, 2016.

There is a specific promotional plan in place for our film and our campaign will begin as scheduled by our team for the same.

Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, presented by UTV Motion Pictures and Ashutosh Gowariker Productions, and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Sunita Gowariker, Mohenjo Daro stars Hrithik Roshan and introduces Pooja Hegde along with Kabir Bedi and Arunoday Singh.
