A lot of these are true for me. I hate cricket. And Indian cuisine is way too spicy for me. But the water and mosquito repellent bit is essential. I got sick for weeks when I didn't drink bottled water. The accent bit I don't get. I've lived in Canada since I was a baby so it makes sense to have a Canadian accent if I've only been to India twice.

also, whats so abnormal about getting into the sports that the country you live in, plays?
Heck by those standards, ban every Indian boy from Inida who supports Manchester Utd. They aint the the UK!

I don't even know why I'm getting so offended 😆

Is an NRI an Indian who has emigrated to a foriegn country, or is it an Indian who is born in Britain/America? #confused

HAHAHAHAHA. Gotta admit I do some of the above. Like I will not drink anything apart from bottled water cause well, I visit India for like 10 days and I don't want to get sick in those few days! And I am not amused with stray dogs or cats, but I am most definitely amused with cattle and goats on the road. 😆

NRI is basically a non-resident Indian. So I think an NRI could collectively mean both. I mean I've been born abroad and my parents emigrated, but all of us are classified as NRIs.

oh, quit it. The last time I went to India was in 2000. I was in the hospital for a month. Please don't tell me the cities are clean... because they are not.
I don't see how one doesn't acquire an accent after living there. Why would anyone want to have an Indian accent? its ...bad... and not like Swedish or French. They are charming.

Talking about mineral water, actually nowadays in the bigger cities even indian peoole drink mineral water, thanks to the bisleri/bailey dispensers available. Even we drink it from the dispensers, usually called 'matka' in the local language.

Because water might not be safe and they don't want me in the hospital..this was 5 years back. I don't care, next time I'm having gol gappas on the road. A lot of the ones here are more from my extended family in India than me...the mineral water...I almost had normal water and my aunts flipped out saying I need mineral water. 😕😆

The spice..they make nonspicy food for me and I'm like WHYYY? I like spicy food. 😆 My family is crazy. 😆

But yeah, Delhi now has clean water because of the filters. I don't drink milk in India though (well only where my dad's from).

I find the pigs on the road and the LITTERING really annoying though.

Btw labels/brands is more India than an NRI thing I feel. I swear people we visit in India consider any non branded gifts to be useless/cheap. My aunt wanted $1500 Prada bags and my mom was like W*F! They also think everyone in America is just automatically super rich.. 😆
