I only used TGW as an example because it is the story of a wronged wife making a comeback and standing on her own two feet. Women watch TV the most--they can easily relate to an Alicia Florrick..and they generally prefer these dramas over crime shows like the Killing (I haven't seen the Killing btw)...hence it might have more chances of working...it's kinda like those shows on SP that worked pre-Ekta (Saans).

Actually The Good Wife is also being remade for Indian TV. The only difference is the role was offered to Madhuri who turned it down (wise woman).

If it was Tanisha doing The Killing remake on TV I would call it a step up, for Kajol it's a downward plunge.

I feel like she is not getting any offers. She has been quite honest about not getting any offers unlike someone like Raveena who said in an interview that people (god knows who) want her to comeback but she has a very busy schedule (god knows doing what).

I don't want her opposite any Khan this time. I want her to pull a Vidya ala Kahaani.

Of course she's not getting offers right now. There's a lot of competition and she never made many friends...of her friends...Relationship with YRF is damaged. Karan Johar simply has no idea what to do with you once you can't star in those young rom-coms of his.😆 ...and Kajol doesn't fit into the kind of films SRK does. 😆

Pulling a Vidya isn't easy...films like Kahaani only come around once in a few years...and there's a lot of competition for those women-centric films.

But seriously people have got to stop quoting Tabu as an example. Tabu only played Tabu in ALL her movies, be it Varaasat, Chaandni Bar, Maachis or whatever. If you play all her movies in a loop it might seem like its just one never ending story of the same woman.

I haven't seen Manisha's movies though (probably because most of them were HUGE flops), so I cant comment on her.

I on the other hand didn't think Talaash was that challenging for her. Yes I agree it's subjective..so there's no point of arguing over it. It's agree to disagree case.

Who will offer Tanisha any acting role? She's hopeless.

I have a sneaky suspicion that she will be in Karan's next (or a Dharma movie). In KWK she did give her point of view on good scripts and then told Karan to "take it into account for that next script of yours". 😆

And maybe Ajay is producing a Kahani for her. She did admit that she liked Kahani and she would've done the movie if it was offered to her.

As far as Yash Raj is concerned than its no major lose as they are not even making good movies these days, just average rom-coms. Aditya Chopra also directed very underwhelming 2 movies after DDLJ so its not a major loss for her.

She is indeed. 😛 And what I find amusing is that she debuted and acted in b-grade movies like she was a great talent and would've made those movies hits on her own. 😛

It's sad that Kajol didn't help her out (although she was beyond help), except for maybe getting her Neal n Nikki in exchange for doing Fanaa.

LOL nahh...I think Karan is too busy scripting things for his golden goose Alia now. 😆 Like I said, Karan doesn't know how to make films for people over 30. He doesn't know hot to make mature films and his PH directors make young films too. ...so unless he's turning Kajol into Siddy's mother, I doubt he's going to work with her...

Maybe...but it's best not to expect much. 😆 Anyways, if you go just by rumors then there's rumors on twitter that SRK wants to produce different films with Kajol, Varun, Kangana and some Khottey Sikkey film. They sound like hogwash to me though. 😆

I know YRF and even Dharma aren't huge losses given the films they make, but they were the folks who were most likely to offer her films. 😆

I don't think Kajol could do much for Tanisha..😆

I really liked what aniruddha guha(famous critic) said about kajol..He told she hasn't done one role in her entire career in which she had to be someone else or internalize..back in the 90's aniruddha loved her because the roles written for women were grossly poor..now he realizes that she is just an average and overrated actress who was plain lucky!
