Cool. After all Bollywood ne Korean films aur music ko bhi nahin choda. Pritam se lekar Bhatts and now Mohit Suri's The Villain Korean films have been 'inspiring' certain sections of d industry for quite some time. No wonder dis "goodwill" initiative. Lol.

Shahrukh Khan appointed goodwill ambassador of Korea in India

In a special Appointment Ceremony held in Gurgaon today evening, the King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan was appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador for Korea in the coming year.

The Ambassador of Korea to India H.E. Joongyu Lee said that Shah Rukh Khan made them proud by accepting to be the goodwill ambassador. He hoped that the most popular celebrity and the heartthrob of India will promote goodwill, mutual understanding and foster mutual love and friendship between Koreans and Indians.

The M.D. of Hyundai Motor India Ltd Mr. Boo Shin Seo was also present and delivered the congratulatory message. He said that Shah Rukh Khan has had a long association with Hyundai and he hopes that he will act as a catalyst between the two countries and his global fanbase will help in building close ties between the people of two countries.

Shah Rukh Khan expressed his humbleness and hoped he will be able to fulfill the expectations and trust invested in him by the Koreans. He expressed a desire to travel to South Korea soon with his family especially since his daughter and son have been fans of Taekwondo, a premier sport of Korea. He also went nostalgic as he recalled his experience of shooting the first Hyundai Ad, buying the first equipment for his studio of Korean make and his team being trained in South Korea. He said he believed that world can foster only by accepting and imbibing other cultures and languages. Shah Rukh Khan also expressed his desire to dance with the Korean popular sensation Psy on Gagnam Style before the house was opened for question and answer session.

The event also had a cultural performance of Taekwondo and Samulnori (traditional Korean instruments) by the students getting trained at the Korean Culture Center, the only center in Delhi to promote the Korean Culture amongst Indians.
