The film needed to open well to counteract the cricket like Ragini MMS 2 did.
The first day collections were around the 5-5.25 crore nett as per early estimates which is not that good but Saturday will tell how much the cricket dented the film.
The film has cost over 40 crore to promote and release so the growth will have to be huge on Saturday. Growth of 10% would have been expected if Friday was not affected by the cricket so now there will be potential for 30-40% growth but the problem will be Sunday as India has reached the Final and collections of Main Tera Hero will be hit hard again.
This is the third time that a release of Balaji Motion pictures has been hit by the cricket. First there was Shaadi ke Side Effects then Ragini MMS 2 and Now Main Tera Hero. Ragini MMs 2 withstood the cricket onslaught and now it remains to be seen if Main Tera Hero can do the same.
