In spite of scoring lower than Shaadi Ke Side Effects in the weekend, Main Tera Hero has held up way better than that film on Tuesday. It looks like Main Tera Hero will have a healthy two week run at the cinemas.

On Wednesday single screen dropped at mass belts while multiplexes showed a good drop. As of now, Main Tera Hero is looking at a possible 1st week business of 35 cr.

The movie is better at places like Gujarat,CP-Berar , Rajasthan etc though even some mass belts like CI have also not performed up to the expectations. The movie showed good growth in metros and big urban cities where it had a dull first day to start.The film has quite high costs (40 - 41 cr inclusive of all ) considering the star cast of the movie.

If anyone finds the link to the Badtameez Dil parody, then please post it here. I really wanna watch it again. It was probably one of the most funniest scene from the movie and my favorite one. My cousins and I...we couldn't stop laughing throughout that entire scene. 😆

Main Tera Hero Is 2014s 6th Highest Grosser So Far

Main Tera Hero is climbing the box office charts and rather quickly at that. The film after receiving good critics' responses is also being loved by the audiences, all thanks to David Dhawan's complete comedy drama. MTH currently stands with a collection of 36 crores at the domestic box office.

The film has managed to surpass the lifetime collections of Shaadi Ke Side Effects and Hasee Toh Phasee. With this, Main Tera Hero has now become the sixth highest grosser of 2014.

This Varun Dhawan, Ileana DCruz and Nargis Fakhri starrer finished off its first week on a good note and is expected to go a long way. Since the film is running successfully, looks like it will be soon crossing the total collection of Yaariyan as well.

Main Tera Hero Has Decent First Week

Main Tera Hero collected 33.50 crore nett in its first week as the weekdays did well and were aided by a holiday on Tuesday. The film added over 65% to its weekend business on the weekdays which is good trending.

It is the fourth highest first week of the year behind Jai Ho, Gunday and Ragini MMS 2. It beat the likes of Shaadi Ke Side Effects, Hasee Toh Phasee and Yaariyan.

The best business came in Rajasthan, CP Berar, Nizam Andhra which all had a first week of 2.25 crore plus and Gujarat which was best of all went over 4 crore nett. The film has a lot of work to do if it is to compare with the makers last film Chasme Bhadoor released this time last year which finished on 42 crore nett but was made at 50% the cost of Main Tera Hero

Loved the movie! It was a pure entertainer! Varun has such awesome comic timing. For realz. I don't see anyone from the current generation succeeding at those type of scenes except for Varun. He was flipping amazing and was dressed so well <3 His action, his comedy, his romance, his emotional scene - superb. Go Varun Go! I sense a huge superstar in the coming years. And what a great decision to make a massy film to gain connect with the audience.

Ileana was HOT! I liked when she was fooling Arun while she was on the phone saying that she fell in love with him. Nargis - I don't know why people didn't like her. She wasn't amazing but I thought she put in a pretty good effort and she was supposed to be playing ditsy in the film. I love when she's like "Namaste namaste' with the gun in her hand to Seenu's parents. Also, "DADZUUU" :P And that scene when she's teaching Seenu to use a rifle. I surprisingly liked Arunodhyay. Coupled with Rajpal, he was a riot. Special mention to Evelyn - she was sooo funny as mother-in-law. Varun: "Mujhe mamta ki bahut zuroorat hain" 😆 Saurabh and Anupam were a delight 😆

I'm dedicating one paragraph of my review to how flipping gorgeous everyone looked. ILEANA! Dayum girl, that figure in Besharmi Ki Height. NARGIS. She looked so beautiful in indian wear! So beautiful! VARUN <3 He needs to come here and marry me. He is so goodlooking! He's got a fantastic body and his expressions are adorable.

2^nd half was definitely better than the 1^st half. Hilarious Scenes: Badtameez Dil bhajan, I actually thought the kissing scene was adorably funny - Krrish 2 ke baad Kiss 2, Nargis-Varun gunshooting, Varun imitating Bally bhaiyya's whistle after he shocks him... "Bachpan main cheeks better the lekin jawaani main, legs better hain", "Sorry Uncle Aunty, woh main Sunaina ko apne woh 6 pack abs dikhaane aaya tha. Okayy bye", "Main dikhta hoon sweet innocent swami type ka lekin main hoon bahut harrraami type ka", "Anguuu", Salman's voiceovers - "hawaa tez thi issi liye phool gir gaya" 😆

This film was definitely value for money. I am great fans of Varun and Ileana and they looked stupendous together. I was entertained, there was good music, awesome dancing, cute cute scenes, light-hearted laughs... In short, a thoroughly enjoyable cinematic experience. I'm rooting for you Varun! ❤️⭐️

Oh and did I mention... I ship Sunainu? :P They are hot! Even Varun-Nargis. Their offscreen masti was sooo cute. 3.5/5 😛👍🏼 David Dhawan strikes again 🥳
