I feel like all the hype and hoopla around Amitabh has slowly died, He hasn't really lived up to his legacy since Paa in 2009, after that none of movies have worked all that well, he gave lots of duds like Satyagraha, Department, Aarkshan, Teen Pati etc, even though critics appreciated him even in the flop movies, none of them made any noise.

Im not only saying this because he gave flops, there are lots of films that he has starred in that were flops but his performances were heavily appreciated... but now even his performances also don't seem to be a topic of discussion anymore.

His future projects don't seem promising either, even Bhoothnath 2 seems whatever, considering the first one was a flop not sure why a second one is being made.

He once went through a bad phase and was defiant and came back with a bang; do you think he can pull that off again, or has his career finally completed its course and there's nothing left for him to do anymore?

I think I agree with you, Im sure he will never be forgotten and will always be held in high regards and be a legendary icon FOREVER - but I also think his run is over, I dont really see any effort or interest from his end to do anything great like he did with Black, Paa, etc.

He has two great movies line up. One is Piku and the other one is a father son relationship movie.

AB's career is like Bhishma pitamah. Lying on bed of nails and still breathing. He just won't go away. Atleast from social media.

Dude, the man is beyond flops and hits. Icon is a word that is thrown around, but he is truly iconic not just in Indian cinema but cinema in general.
I for one applaud his work ethic. Look at him at 71, he maintains himself and still works hard. Then there is his beloved nalayak beta who at 38 can open his mouth to criticize, but does not have the work ethic towards his job or even care about his appearance.

BigB has been around for 40+ years, his legacy is assured regardless of what happens in recent films. I won't be shocked if he dies making movies.

He is an overhyped moron. That's all he is, little substance to show for all the hype. Sorta like Elvis Presley a big pr machinery with average talent and the right face to sell. I'll be glad when he fades out. Can't stand his obnoxious ass

Umm..Elvis Presley has little substance to show ? All that hip thrusting, grinding gyrating you see on TV and music videos is because he dared to do it on live TV. Even America banned it once upon a time.

BigB is like that. If you think PR alone could float a 40+ year career well, wonder what you think of Rajnikanth 😳. There is a reason he is famous world over and it ain't because PR says so. If not Abhi should be #1, not the Khans 😉Generations of people the world over cannot be idiots and you the intellect who saw through it all. 😛

Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course, but disliking someone doesn't mean you take away from their legitimate achievements.

What run?

He hasn't been in the race for a long, long time. His RUN ended the day he had to call Yash Chopra and ask for a role.

While I agree he was extremely overrated in his prime as an actor, his second innings, as a character actor, has seen some wonderful performances.
