Read in an article, Big B postponed a movie with Rishi; so that, Rishi can give dates to Abhishek Bachchan's solo movie with Asin without any interruption.

This says where Big B's position is right now.

I personally don't like that man for his superiority complex and lecherous behaviour but even I have to admit that you never know when AB will bounce back. From the very beginning of his career (his first few movies were all flops), he has been written off time and again .. but he has bounced back every time. He may not be a good human being but he is one of the best actors ever in Indian cinema. He can do all sorts of role with so much ease and finesse.

I highly doubt that his run is over .. he is beyond the runs. One good role and he will make the magic happen again and again and again.

His bankruptcy was probably the best thing that happened to him. He was forced to take up KBC and age appropriate roles. That in turn are the only reasons that he has survived in BW much longer than his contemporaries who retired when their age started to show up. This man made even a bankruptcy sound like an opportunity. Such people's legend never gets over.

He is over 70 years of age. I don't understand the term 'run" in this context. Are people expecting him to be the lead actor in blockbuster movies and compete with heroes 20-40 years his junior?
In spite of his age he is ranked 5th in the last Forbes list in terms of fame and earning. He is relevant and still a major, major part of the entertainment industry. Pray tell me which other 70 year old actor in any other country, leave alone India, even exists in the public memory. Look at Dustin Hoffman and Harrison Ford and all the other legends of Hollywood. Enough said.

For the record, when I used the word run, I wasn't just talking about box office.

I mean everything overall, the whole picture. Acting, relevancy, box office etc.
