If you think Elvis Presley even had an ounce of the talent REAL musician of his time (i.e. Chuck Berry, Sammy Davis Jr, James Brown etc possessed you are deluded. Elvis had the right face ( i.e. skin color) and happened to be a decent singer who could move his hips, but his dancing ability was NOTHING in comparison to many of his peers of the time. Even Sam Phillips and other Elvis Presley producers acknowledged the fact by saying 'if I had a white man who could sing like a black man I would make a million dollars'.
While I am not claiming Elvis was completely talentless he wasn't all that either.
He was a puppet who couldn't even write his own songs or compose his own music. His talent paled to that of his peers at the time. That's the reason he faded out when real musicians with real abilities started to make their mark by the mid/end 1960's/1970's.
And for the record Rock & Roll has it's origins in Black American Music and not white, white folks just jacked it the way they jack everything else. And Chuck Berry is the Father, Mother, King, Queen, Kaiser and God of Rock n Roll and no one else, regardless of how much mainstream media and popular culture propagates otherwise, history can not be changed.

Amitabh similarly is just as overhyped, although not talentless there are dozens of actors more talented than him. The same thing applies to ShahRukh Khan as well btw, talent does exist with these people but not to the extent the media pushes them.

i think his upcoming film with Balki and Dhanush has good buzz, and people are expecting good work from him in that film .

He hasn't been in the race for a long, long time. His RUN ended the day he had to call Yash Chopra and ask for a role.

While I agree he was extremely overrated in his prime as an actor, his second innings, as a character actor, has seen some wonderful performances.

what's ABCL? Lol Wow he actually called Yash Chopra. Hmm, is this a fact or just another theory made up by IF members lol.

On topic: he is 70 plus, so I suppose yeah he's time is up. But that doesn't matter because he's a legend. He truly is the most versatile actor. He can pull off any genre. Only he can pull off different characters so convincingly, his roles Kaante, Mohabbatein, Agneepath, Black, Khakee, Waqt, Bade Miya Chote Miya, Family, Sholay, Paa are all completely different and he pulled each role off effortlessly.

P.S. I haven't seen much bollywood movies of the 70s/80s so I'm not fully aware of the types of films he did in his earlier days, hence I haven't mentioned them.

thanks god it didn't, we didn't need another below average bish elevated to the high heavens because of their last name. Abhishek, literally is below basic, put him in the biggest ghetto in India and he'd fit right in, maybe he'd be a bit taller than the rest of the guys but that would be the only difference. Showbiz is not his place. But it's a shame he's getting a free ride in a fancy care just because of who his father is.

In one the most watched award show... bigB said with his lump in throat.. that he had to call Yash ji.. "I need a job".
