From what I understand, it's not even a clean hit???? For a film touted as next 100 cr, blockbuster. bla bla bla, less than that doesn't look that great. 😕

Besharam was a terrible movie so it crashed completely and yep, Ranbir lacks masses support, but even without that, he is still way far ahead of the others right now. Partly, because Ranbir has been here much longer.

Yes Biru has upper hand in some cases but Veer and Pari need not worry cz even if no one gives them movies, YRF will always do it. As I heard they are Aditya Chopra's favorite

BV went to a lot of people. Aamir and SRK before that.

IMO the era of superstars is over. We are more in the era of starbursts. The next generation has a lot of talented young men and women. We will have periodic starbursts where one or two dominate the industry for a few months, being replaced by new starbursts every few months. They all are talented, but I think it is harder to dominate and easier to falter in the present day industry.

Why is everyone putting Alia on a pedestal? She's only 2 films old, for god sake.

that's media's mistake...did people expect Biru to give a 100 crore for his 5th film. The movie was hyped by media more than anything but not realizing that the actors are new and still establishing themselves. It's not their fault if a movie's success is not measured in profit but 100 crore tag.

Was that including promotions? Don't think so. This film had crazy promotions and even HTP spent 12 cr on promotions alone.
