I am brand new here and this thread has certainly been an interesting introduction to IF and the Ranbir/Ranveer fan er...discussions 😆

Just two films old and Alia became superstar? Seriously? 🤣

Alia and superstar? 😆..the comparisons with Kareena doesnt make sense.She was a complete package.Could pair up with actors from HR,Abhishek to Akki,SRK and look believable as characters of any age group.She never looked awkward with male costars onscreen unlike Alia who looks weird with most of her coactors.She is just cute.No X factor or sex appeal.Her acting might have improved in Highway but surely not that epic like people making it sound.The reviews from audience have been very mixed.She might become a successful actress but no where near a superstar like Madhuri or Sridevi.

Ranbir is already a superstar according to me..he is yet to surpass the Khans,but his popularity is at same level of HR and Akshay..yeah he is not charismatic offscreen but I dont know how much of that matters in this era.Its NOT written on rocks to be a superstar you have to charm the audience through live stage events or reality shows.the concept is skewed.Ranbir can pull audience and make them connect to everry character he essays onscreen.That is enough connectivity.People flock the theatres when they hear his name.Why cant that be deemed as star quality? So what if audience cant relate to him offscreen,they love and adore him onscreen even when he attempts vastly vivid characters ranging from his roles in WUS to Rajneeti to Rockstar to Barfi to YJHD .He receives extra adulation as he is a Kapoor scion.Just cuz he isnt interesting enough in media interviews/appearances,doesnt mean ppl will feel the need to skip his movies at the theater.By the way I dont know why the entire world went crazy for RK-DP real life jodi yet again if Biru was that cold during his interactions with DP during promotions of YJHD LOL..moving on...Ranbir is not hyper,extrovert or loud.Still he has a fair chance of becoming the superstar of this generation ,due to other attributes.

Ranveer is definitely in for the long haul but I dont think he will be bigger than Ranbir.IMO he isnot the young SRK as people here repeatedly claim.I dont find any similarities other than the fact that both are industry outsiders.SRK slept on the roads,he was a nobody when he entered B.W.Gauri and him couldnt even afford furnitures for their appartment and guests visiting them had to sit on the ground.Ranveer definitely didnt have to struggle that hard.He is a millionaire well backed by YRF.He is in news for his affairs all the time,while SRK was married already lol.Their off screen personas are also different.SRK was always a lot more sophisticated,polished and civil ...No one ever called him uncouth or raw...yeah much before Adi Chopra met him 😛😆..So no the comparisons are baseless.Have followed SRK for very long to know that.If anything Sushant's journey from being a TV star and belonging to a middle class house hold bear resemblance to SRK's

Rishi was a star, but he himself said that they didn't have many choices those days as most films were based on "lost & found stories" of kids and reuniting as elders. Ranbir has experimented a lot in his short career from a Sikh lead in Rocket Singh to deaf and mute Barfi. So their careers are nothing alike.

Well, you were saying Katrina cheated as if you know A to Z of their relationship.What about you stop attacking character of some girl you don't know? She wouldn't have a cordial relationship with Sallu if she had done that in the first place. depika fans r quite bitter wid ranbir bcs he left her 😆 abt ranveer his dailog delivery was weak in lootera , he is gun in loud charecters ,not det gud in serious roles

Since I said upthread I see Ranveer as a future SRK, I'll try to explain why I think so. Though their backgrounds are different, Ranveer and SRK are more similar to me than a Sushant and SRK.

Ranveer and SRK do not have the classical chocolate boy handsome good looks. In fact their personality outweighs their looks IMO. SRK even in Fauji managed to stand out because of his personality despite the lead being more classically handsome. They both have incredible screen presence and your eyes follow them even though they are surrounded by more good looking people.

They are incredibly witty and can think on their toes. You see it in their hosting especially. I love the one where Ranveer gets his first ever debut award and he is overwhelmed ,speechless and in tears and SRK who is hosting puts a smile on his face and even makes him dance by asking him why he is crying, it is he who has to cry because Ranveer has come into the industry

😆. I saw Ranveer in action in the GIMA awards, even Ramesh Sippy said he was the big revelation of the night. Both SRK and Ranveer love to entertain and do incredibly stupid things, During the Zee awards, Abhi and Ritesh were a snoozefest, SRK did incredibly stupid things to entertain despite being injured. Which brings me to the biggest similarity between them. The fire in them to succeed which a young Salman or Aamir did not have, but was clear as a bell with SRK and in Ranveer now. And I have to add their gratitude. SRK comes across as grateful, not entitled and so does Ranveer. Sure, he is loud and not as sophisticated as SRK, but I see an SRK in Ranveer among the current lot.

Obviously this is not meant to convince you, but a POV on why I think so.
