As Blue Ice stated, they're too big to fail. Even if the Khans deliver 10 flops in a row, some producer would still be willing to invest on them. It's a testament to their mythical position that 100 crores grossers like Jai Ho, JTHJ, Ra One, etc. are considered disappointments despite achieving Hit/Semi Hit status. Talaash did around 85 crores and was considered a massive disappointment but when a non-starter does 60 crores, it's consider a huge success. That's just how it is for the Khans.

Don't forget that Kick has Hollywood specialists working as Cinematographer and Action/Stunt Director. It's going to have top-notch photography and imageries, and some unreal fight sequences. Salman + those factors alone will ensure that the movie is a huge grosser. It's not like Jai Ho where everybody knew that Sohail was an appalling director. The production value of the movie was so poor that it's amazing it did 110 crores at the BO.

Plus, after Kick, Salman has a stellar line-up: Sooraj Barjatya's next, Kabir Khan's next, Shimit Amin's next, and the sequels to No Entry and Dabbang.

Jai ho on the other hand even his own phans were talking neg on since the heroine waa known, then the supporting cast, this was prior to the trailer being released which was rushed and the songs were rushed tht it got no time to lick, it was like the movie was being made just to be made as his bro wanted to make a movie, the orginl movie was sher khan which got scrapped and suddenly this movie came outta no where!! No artice said this movie be huge nor most his phans, they might wish it be huge but most were sure it wont be huge due to production value, then the theme the message, etc

On other hand Kick was planned in advance, they even shot scenes in london with some cast members, etc...
