Shaadi Ke Side Effects Opening Day (Day 1) Box Office Collections

Shaadi ke Side Effects on its opening day at the box office earned an income of net 5.40 Crores. The film that saw a good opening in North India especially metropolitan cities like Delhi and NCR, Bangalore, Mumbai ended up with average numbers on its Day 1.

The word of mouth is great for the film and even the critics have praised Vidya and Farhan's chemistry, giving the filmmaker's nuanced understanding of relationships a big thumbs up. Shaadi Ke Side Effects is expected to pick up over the weekend as it is a solo release leaving audiences to choose between Valentine week release Gunday and last week's Highway only

Shaadi Ke Side Effects has opened better on Saturday (2nd Day) at box office. Film is registering contrasting opening in various parts of India. In North film has opened extremely well in the region of 50% occupancy in Morning shows in multiplexes. Whereas in Rest of India opening is around 30% range. But collections for Morning shows is definitely better than on First Day.

SKSE has registered a good occupancy of around 50% in Delhi City. In Gurgaon occupancy is excellent with around 70-75% registered for the same. In Mumbai film is however slow and registered occupancy in the range of 30% for Morning shows.

As weekend is approaching SKSE should register further growth through the day. SKSE is heading for a decent Saturday looking for early trends, which is a positive news for the film

Ya he cried and man what a funny sight it was...my tummy was aching due to the laughter that single scene generated(And I'm a fan of Farhan 😆)

Ila Arun scared the shit out of me in one scene where she acts all angry and weird and then the aunty cum ma relation just beaks and Farhan throws a lame cum serious dilaogue about his khamoshi on our face, which was again 😆. Vir Das's presence lightened up the screen, I already forgot Purab Kohli's role. Sigh! How much I wanted to watch him on big screen.

I was most excited for this movie but baah, what a disappointment. Kam se kam it was paisa vasool for all the shit it generated on which we could laugh at.

Hmm no double meaning jokes as such (actually no jokes in the movie at all, except for one two here and there😆) . Intimate scenes, yes but not very intense ones probably on the scale of Love Aaj Kal.

Watched it

First Half was Brilliantly funny

Second Was Meh, kinda boring

The actors are good

But still a decent watch

Yeah I am kinda biased😛

After a point I just wanted the movie to get over..Even Farhan's bedroom voice couldn't save it..And the continuous nuzzling being sold as foreplay was irritating..

Vir Das's role was just an extension of his GGG avatar..but his panchmola jingle was cute..

All the promos have been cut from the first half..smart decision..coz if I knew this was going to turn into Kasauti Zindagi Kay meets KGGK in the second half I'd have just watched soap reruns!

PS: This is mean..but Ram Kapoor and Vidya Balan(I love the lady) are so RNBDJ😆

😆 Im a phangurl of Vidya, but oh boy she was a pain in this movie..I usually ignore bad dressing considering the fact that i myself am a bad dresser but even I couldn't stop questioning the dresses in this movie, what was she wearing? They added to the already existing lameness of the movie.

It's actually weird because i'm biased towards so many people acting/appearing in this movie including Farhan, Vidya, Vir, Purab ... even then this movie was so cringeworthy.

If this movie had showed Vidya's khadoos type ka boss who doesn't know how to laugh, hates the word love and spits fire every time he comes on screen and gets enlightened by a chirpy girl who teaches him the meaning of life it would have been a perfect Balaji film. 👏 👍🏼

Shaadi Ke Side Effects managed decent business in the North but recorded low figures elsewhere. The film actually did well on day one in Delhi/NCR and East Punjab. The first day all India total was around 5.25 crore nett.

The Delhi/UP day one figure was let down by business in UP while East Punjab came out with a healthy first day total. The problem for the film was elsewhere as most other circuits like CP Berar, CI, Nizam and Rajasthan recorded very low collections.

Rajasthan had a limited release but even if we take the circuit at fair value it is still poor. Mumbai also did not perform well as collections outside Mumbai city and Pune were low with Gujarat having very bad performance. The film needs strong weekend growth and good follow through on weekdays as it has a pretty high cost of over 40 crore to release and promote the film.

Shaadi Ke Side Effects had an average opening in multiplexes of North India but was low elsewhere. The film will need to show big growth in many areas on Saturday as though first day will be okay considering the numbers of the last few multiplex films it will be on the lower side considering the cost of the film.

Highway grossed around 21.75 crore nett in its first week due to decent hold over the weekdays but has seen a big fall on day eight due to the release of Shaadi Ke Side Effects..

Gunday fell in week two collecting around 13 crore nett taking its two week total to around 71 crore nett. The drop at the start of week three is huge and the film is unlikley to add much more business.
