Most of the Indian origin people work really hard to get their way to come abroad and settle here. So, instead of being cocky, mostly they are very subtle and strong people who feel confident and happy about their achievements. But, I agree, some of them when they go to India behave more American than Americans themselves. But that's a rare case.
I have had a few experiences of seeing and hearing such people on airports and airplanes while travelling to India a couple of times. I honestly felt like slapping them for their disgusting and arrogant behavior.
But not everyone is like that. Most of the NRIs are very respectful towards the culture here as well as in India.

On that note, I must say, I've seen soo many Indians (not NRIs) in India who behave like they are total angrez. They don't like bollywood movies, they look down upon others who can't speak proper english, they take pride in the fact that they can't speak their own mother tongue properly but do well in english only (which is not wrong but isn't something to flaunt, for God's sake). It looks sooo wannabe-ish that I get amused at their stupid behavior. Most of such people get along well with each other only .. because no one else understands their obsession with being angrez.

I have seen the NRIs here working for India more than anyone else...I remember when this unlucky Tsunami had happened...a huge amount of money collected by the NRIs was sent to India for relief fund...I know people who are actively involved with NGOs working for all kinds of projects in rural India...Its not that NRIs forget about india and make merry...Our roots are there...we never forget who we actually are...and we love India as much as any Indian living in India...Of course being an American citizen my loyalties are towards USA also...but India never took a backseat for me ever ...

I never said ki badi baat hai...I was making a point in reference to the article...which says that NRIs don't care for India...

Well obviously one has a special attachment to the place where one belongs to...just like you love Lucknow😃 its your home town.
But somewhere I hate all this divide and lines and borders... It's a globalized world...Why can't we live just without borders and nations...and just live like this...!

I know very well this...that a world without borders is an Utopia...but still cant help but daydream about it. It would be wonderful. But more than capitalists, even normal people wont agree to this...The feeling of nationalism(which is accord to me is quite wrong) will never let it happen. If people decide that there should be such a world, it's possible too...but the blind nationalist emotions because of which every citizen thinks that our country is the best...will never let it happen.
