Has Deepika Bagged Shoojit Sircars Piku?

After having a successful 2013 with four 100 crore grossers in her kitty, actress Deepika Padukone is currently having a long list of film offers.

Apparently she has been one of the top contenders for the two primary films that are being considered this year -Salman Khan starrer Bade Bhaiya, Karan Johar's Shuddhi and also a film alongside Aamir Khan. However, if recent news reports are to be believed filmmaker Shoojit Sircar has approached Deepika Padukone for his next directorial Piku that will also star seasoned actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan. Sharing screen space with the likes of veterans like Bachchans and hailed stars like Irrfan speaks volumes about the actor's caliber and how she has stretched her limitations to become fantastic.

Shoojit's film being a character driven, father-daughter drama, Deepika seems to be considering more challenging roles the commercial regulars. With movies like Finding Fanny an English- Konkani film by Homi Adajania under her wing, Deepika is surely revamping her image as an actress.

so this is another script that she has just heard but has not finalised or signed. Deepika has obviously been hearing many scripts as she is the first choice for directors, will be interesting to see what she end up signing.

but among the ones mentioned i would like to see her do the one with amir, even though we are not sure if she is actually approached for it or not but still..

and shuddhi and SB's next are already out...it doesnt seem like she is doing any of the two
