Wait how can Kaur be her middle name? Someone just told me that Kaur and Vohra are her surnames l. So which one would have been her legal last name at birth? I'm not understanding this, I'm from the US so can someone explain to me what her birth last name is? Other people say she was born Karen malhotra.

Originally Kaur is a surname given to all Sikh women. Vohra is again a surname which people use along with Kaur/Singh to affirm what family/cast they belong to. Hence, both are her surnames. However, many people nowadays use Kaur as a middle name on their passports instead of last.

You can use kaur as a middle or last name /surame but only women do ..hence vohra would be te actual last name (telling caste) and both genders use!!

Singh too is used as middle and last name( when used as last name /surame both genders use) middle name then guys only usually that i know!!

Anyways to answer you id say vohra is the surname!!
