Arbaaz Khan has signed Rajkummar Rao and Pulkit Samrat opposite the actress for his upcoming film.
Mirror was the first to tell you that Sonam Kapoor has been roped in by Arbaaz Khan to play Dolly in his upcoming film Dolly Ki Doli to be directed by debutant Abhishek Dogra. Now, Arbaaz has signed two young actors - Pulkit Samrat of Fukrey fame and Rajkummar Rao of Kai Po Che fame to play the male leads.
In the film, Pulkit will be seen as a no-nonsense cop from the Northern heartland, while Rajkummar Rao will essay the role of a Jat who goes by the name Sonu Sharma.
When contacted, Arbaaz confirmed the news saying, "Both Pulkit and Rajkummar are promising actors and matched the demands of Abhishek's script. I'm happy to have them on board."
Abhishek elaborated, "We will be shooting extensively in the Delhi NCR region. The highlight of the film will be Sonam, as she is playing a character that is quite close to her chirpy real self."
However, contrary to her fashionista image, Sonam will be seen as an out-and-out desi girl.
The film goes on floors in April 2014 and is scheduled to release later that year.
