I liked Deepika in YJHD and loved her in Ram-Leela, however I don't understand the love for her performance in Chennai Express. I thought that movie was a disaster in every which way including her performance. Maybe, it's just because I hate that movie with a passion, I don't know...

well said mate :) just watched cocktail again yesterday and trust me she bowled me over with her portrayal of Veronica. she looked her part and emoted soo well . she almost got me teary eyed with her emotional scenes wherein Veronicas vulnderable side is exposed. Man cocktail was certainly the turning point and then she has excelled in the movies that came after. kudos to her hardowrk . she was brilliant in YJHD as the meek and silent naina and then in chennai express as the effervescent meenama her comic timing was just amazing and her accent was to die for.. she made chennai expres memmorable for me and it was only for her i went to watch the movie first day first show and ramleela she looked beautiful danced like a diva and lived the character of leela and her chemistry with ranveer is just to die for. she was really good in the truce scene , u could see that pain and passion in her eyes. she managed to hold her ground against an accomplished actor like supriya pathak .

i loved her in the scene wherein people congratulate her for killing ram ( the guy playing ram for the procession) the guilt and that pain in her face.. she totally amazed me..

2013 has been her year totally wherein she has garnered good reviews from the critics and the audience alike and box office success. wishing her all the luck for 2014. she has impressed the film fraternity with her portrayal of these characters who are very differen. way to go girl :)

THIS YEAR BELONGS TO HER...her haters said Katrina would eventually overpower her. Dhoom 3 will do great business...but Katrina didn't act. Dpad however did in CE.

Good post!even though Deepika is not my favorite actor, her professionalism is admirable.
The best thing about her is the amount of hard work she puts in.
remember hating her in BAH but she did a great job in Lafangey Parindey and continued improving in her subsequent movies. I think she still has a long way to go but I am hopeful she will do a great job in each of her upcoming projects!

Evn i used to dislike her during OSO days Now i Love her she was too good in CE and YJHD and i watched RL only for deepika she is one gorgeous,Talented actress most of my friends have girl crush on Dpad😊
