The Reign of Deepika Padukone - From Zero to Hero!

I remember watching her very first movie, Om Shanti Om. Shahrukh I had always been a fan of, but Deepika was a new actress to me. I always saw her as a beautiful, young lady. But as an actress she didn't impress me. I thought she was ordinary and didn't have any quality about her to really enjoy her acting abilities. Even as a dancer, I found her very below average. Basically nothing about her clicked to me until Cocktail ...I thought she was sheer brilliance in Cocktail. She stole the show for me in the movie. She acted so well it almost seemed like she had a 360 degree transformation. And post Cocktail Deepika soared high.And then of course the relationship she had with Ranbir. For me, they were the ideal couple - almost like a match made in heaven. Like you can't even deny the equation these two shared...And then all went haywire between the two. But that didn't stop them from working together.And then we had Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express, and Ram-Leela all in one year. And boy was 2013 totally Deepika's year! She excelled in all 3 of those movies and all 3 of those movies did tremendously well.
***Update of 2015 Films**Finding Fanny and Happy New Year were two films that didn't create much buzz in terms of the move doing well, but Deepika's performances in both films were noteworthy. She once again starred with her debut actor, Shahrukh in HNY - this time, however, performing exceptionally well compared to her debut film, Om Shanti Om.
It just kept getting better and better for Deepika with her extraordinary performance in Piku. What a performance! And what a stellar performance in Tamasha as well which once again saw her with Ranbir. Aren't they both to die for? So cute. The movie didn't do well, but their chemistry sure as hell did!!
Bajirao Mastani...her latest film and wow what an end to the year of 2015! This beautiful woman is on fire! What a stellar performance she give in this film. She was fabulous. You can clearly see the improvements from her first film to her most recent. It was such a treat to watch her sizzle the screen with Ranveer! What an eternal beauty!
New Films Update:
This woman has rocked Hollywood too! But I think she should stay with Bollywood! She excels in Bollywood...But look at India representing Hollywood! Working with Vin Diesel is so huge! And all her fans should be so so so proud of her for getting that opportunity!
Her special appearances have always been special too! Her dancing has improved so much.
And what a beautiful journey it has been...From Om Shanti Om to Padmavati releasing December 1st 2017! This movie looks sooo good, but better yet Deepika is looking so fabulous!
She has had such an amazing transformation. She literally was nothing when she first entered in the film industry. And now she is the top heroine of Bollywood. And that #1 spot is truly hers and is most certainly well deserved. Today, I'm proud to say yes I am a Deepika fan. She has made me love her for her amazing talent.
