Jagga Jasoos' and Happy New Year' were all set for a clash at the box office. The film corporation, who are handling both movies, were in a tight spot when both Ranbir Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan expressed a desire for their respective movies to release at Diwali next year. However, where that has been averted, it seems Kapoor may now clash with Hrithik Roshan.

In a lesser known occurrence, according to TOI, it seems Roshan has quietly kept his finger on a 2nd October (Gandhi Jayanti) release for Bang Bang'. Incidentally, Kapoor has preponed the release of Jagga Jasoos' to the same date - coincidentally the same date as Besharam' released this year. The film corporation have confirmed, with their handling of Bang Bang', they expect neither film's dates will now be moved so a clash is almost certain.

This will, of course, leave Farah Khan's Happy New Year' with no competition. However, no doubt there are chances of things changing as the months go on. Stay with BizAsia for all the latest.

There is surely lot of planning and thought that goes in deciding the release date of a film. And the fight to grab the best dates for film release in 2014 has begun.

The film corporation, which has signed both - Ranbir's Jagga Jasoos' and SRK's Happy New Year', were in a dilemma. This is because both the actors were keen on releasing their respective films on the coveted date - Diwali 2014.

However, to play safe, RK Junior decided to advance his movie on Gandhi Jayanti - October 2 - the same date on which Besharam' released this year.

But according to reports, Hrithik Roshan has October 2 reserved for Bang Bang'. Now both the production houses are in no mood to change the dates.
