'Krrish 3' Box Office Collection: Hrithik-Priyanka Starrer Enters 25th Day, Earns Over 241 Crore in India

Krrish 3", starring Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra, has successfully entered into its 25th day of theatrical run today (25 November).

The superhero flick, which released on 1 November, is still running in theatres. The film has earned over 240 crore at the domestic box office in just 24 days (till 24 November), reported Bollywood Hungama.

The release of new films has significantly affected "Krrish 3" collections, which had a dream run at the box office. The Rakesh Roshan directorial has been facing strong competition at multiplexes from Ranveer-Deepika's "Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-leela" and Imran-Kareena's "Gori Tere Pyaar Mein".

The film's collections have dwindled in the last few days, with its earnings ranging between 50 lakh and 90 lakh. It raked in 2.12 crore in its fourth weekend (22-24 November). The breakup of the film's collections in its fourth weekend is: 52 lakh on Friday, 68 lakh on Saturday and 92 lakh on Sunday.

According to Koimoi, "Krrish 3" might close its lifetime business over the fourth week.

The film has fared exceptionally well at both domestic and overseas box offices. Its 24-day collections stand at 241.8 crore, which includes earnings from Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions. The film has reportedly earned over 280 crore at the worldwide box office. The magnum opus is reportedly the highest grossing Bollywood film of all time and also holds the record of highest grosser of 2013.

Now, the focus has shifted to Aamir Khan's "Dhoom 3" which is set to hit the screens on 20 December. It remains to be seen if the action-thriller flick will be able to break the records set by "Krrish 3".

Krrish 3 Goes The Dabangg 2 Way

Krrish 3 has gone the Dabangg 2 way as collections have come down rapidly after the holiday period. It was a similar story with Dabangg 2 when its collections came down fast after the Christmas and New Year period was over.

Like Dabangg 2, Krrish 3 has proved to be a blockbuster due to the initial and holiday period but the film has not really gone on to consolidate after the holiday period. The film looked a 200 crore nett grosser after the first 5-6 days but each week the expectations have come down as collections dropped fast.

The film has grossed just a little under 174 crore nett in three weeks and the fourth week saw very limited business and the film will add just about 2-3 crore nett more taking the final total 177 crore nett.

The lifetime business of the film in its Hindi format will be the fifth highest ever after Chennai Express, 3 Idiots, Ek tha Tiger and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. The film is the second biggest hit of the year after Chennai Express as though the nett business will stay below Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani the distributor share will be more.

In case of Boxofficeindia they are quoting much lesser number of Krrish 3. As per our assumption Krrish 3 numbers are much higher than those they are mentioning. We don't know which sources they are following, but only like to state that a lot of new screens are added up in India and one should keep track of all those, specially the interior ones, as Bollywood Business is booming there big time. It will be extremely unfair and injustice to give advise to team of BOI as they are doing great job of tracking box office business and hope they do it well in coming days also. We always give weightage to their box office numbers.
