Well, for him it IS a risk. Saif for the longest time was being type cast into romance and rom coms. Tried and tested formulas. He decided to venture out. It's a risk coz it was his own production, so it's not like he just randomly signed some film, got his pay and then dosent have to worry.

He wanted to get rid of that image, he couldn't find a producer, since he was rich enough, he produced it himself.

AV's success or failure wasn't going to change Saif's life in the monetary perspective.

He did it because he was getting typecast in those rom com roles like you said. There was no danger involved considering if that fails, he could always get back to his rom com mode for success, which he did with Cocktail.

I'd call AV an experiment more than a risk.

I would say Shahid is a great risk taker..

Why doesn't he produce a heroine oriented film for his begum? That, would be a real risk.

Early on in his career..he tried different types of movies like Fida & Shikhar..

He invested almost 2 years exclusively for Mausam..& things did not work out..

He changed his whole body type (bulked up) for Kaminey..a dark film with Vishal who hadn't given any hits till then..& it paid back big time..

Now he is the first hero of his generation to step into total action mode in R..Rajkumar..has broken all his body parts..😆..Lets see how it works out..

Coz more poeple often compare Shahid and Kareena's script sense as being one of the worst of the industry. Especially coz both end up wasting their talent. That's why the comparison 😆

Umm...you clearly havent read the posts on IF have you?

Shahid is hardly known for script sense. If you think I'm mkaing this up, go on and open up a topic asking if Kareena and Shahid can be compared with their script sense.
