LMFAOO sweety NY released in 2008, MBKD released in 2011 and now we are in 2013 sure RL did more but you need to take the inflation in consideration too, and tbh it didn't open that big. just 14 cr. quiet disappointing considering how several trade people stated it will at least make 20 cr.

and 2ndly If NY and MBKD were produced by YRF then RL was produced by Eros which is a big production house,

also NY had just 3 weeks promotions and that only in India. RL promotions were aggressive and it was promoted way more than both NY and MBKD

so your excuses are super lame here.

katrina can't be credited for NY and MBKD success cause it was produced by YRF but Deepika can get credited for Ram leela success cause it was produced by a small production house like Eros and because the movie was not at all promoted much

What I don't understand is why Deepika is the only one being credited for RL success? Last I checked..Ranveer is being appreciated just as much as Deepika when it comes to reviews. With Katrina MBKD..critics said she carried the film on her shoulder..I mean Imran vs Ranveer come on! In case of RL I have yet to read a review that said Deepika carried the film on her shoulder yet some of her fans on her make it seem like RL is doing well only because of Deepika.

It's nice to see Deepika raise to the top because she was never no. 1 and she was kind of underdog and you kind of want to support her success but these kind of topics rub you in the wrong way. It's like that one time where one fan was like if Vidya is in this film it wouldn't have flopped and than Ghanchakkar happened and made everyone shut up about how Vidya is a khan and never gives flops and her starpower and blah blah

Indeed Deepika is doing well but it is super ridiculous and baseless when some people trash others in order to make deepika's success look good.

Deepika bigger than the khans, saif, ajay, akshay. Deepika deserve RL success katrina doesn't deserve success for her yrf movies cause they were produced by yrf like seriously.

@others RL per taran is 16 and its 14 per boi, regardless its a very impressive opening

@beboholic, the reason shes getting most credit on the opening because she is the one with the starpower atm, and riding high since race 2 -CE , whereas Ranveer singh hasnt given a hit to date even BBB was avg which is his biggest movie going into RL, so most who were going to see this movie were going due to her..( yes there are others who went due to ranveer, and other reasons but thats the minority)

But it being appreciated (the movie) everyone should get credit that contributed!!

I don't like it when credit isn't given. I think Deepika is indeed one of the reason for huge opening but it was also the chemistry and the colors etc. Infact every promotional place and interviews they have given everyone asked about the chemistry. FIrst day sure Deepika might have been a huge factor but second day to have a likely outcome of 18crores? That is not just Deepika's affect. That is entire Ram Leela teams effort. THey all worked hard on the movie and in the end it is SLB who directed Deepika and who made her work her ass off and who made those beautiful frames.
